Proud to support Manchester International Festival 2017

We are excited to announce that we will be supporting Manchester International Festival 2017 (MIF17) as a Corporate Member. MIF17 runs from 29th June to 16th July in diverse venues across Manchester. As the first and only festival of all-new work created by outstanding national and international artists, MIF has forged a global reputation, with many commissions touring around the world. First staged in 2007, the biennial Festival presents new works from across the spectrum of performing arts, visual arts and popular culture. Previous Festival premieres have showcased artists as diverse as Björk, Steve McQueen, Damon Albarn, Maxine Peake and Zaha Hadid Architects.

We have a passion for working with artists and cultural organisations to help deliver inspiring installations and events, and this isn’t the first time that Civic Engineers have been involved with the Festival. These projects have included working on MIF13 as civil and structural engineers to enable Massive Attack to play in Mayfield Depot, a disused rail depot, and assisting sculptor Gustav Metzger to design and manage the movement of his MIF09 work Flailing Trees to the Whitworth.

We’re proud to be involved in MIF17 and look forward to working with and supporting the Festival team. Find out more about our art and cultural projects here.
