Running to raise for Civic’s chosen charities

We’re pleased to be able to announce the charities that our Civic Engineers teams will be supporting over the course of the year. Our London, Leeds and Manchester office have each adopted a charity and will be seeking to raise funds for them through a variety of activities.

The charities are as follows;

Manchester: Salford Lads & Girls Club who provide a wide range of activities to local young people

London: Sustrans, the charity that makes it easier to walk and cycle

Leeds: Meanwood Valley Urban Farm – a 24 acre farm site that provide services and education to inner city communities and a major centre for environmental and community work

For the Manchester and Leeds teams, the first fundraising event will be the Great Manchester 10k run which takes place on Sunday 28th May, followed by the Leeds 10k on 9th July. Training is well underway and the competitive spirit has taken hold with regular running groups at lunchtime. Here are some pictures from last year’s event.

If you would like to donate to support the 7 team members running in the Manchester 10k, just visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/CivicEngineers2017
