Craig Turner

Regional Director

I’m a Civil and Structural Engineer with over 10 years’ experience across a wide variety of sectors, with a passion for delivering fully co-ordinated building and urban infrastructure designs.

Graduating from the University of Strathclyde, I studied a multi-disciplinary degree, specialising in structural engineering which has enabled me to work more effectively with each of the design team specialisms and ensure the civil and structural design is integral with the success of the project.

My career started with Atkins, where I gained varied experience in the structural design of steel, concrete, timber and masonry. During my five years, I worked on a broad range of projects across the healthcare, infrastructure, water and commercial sectors.  From there I moved to Goodson Associates, expanding my experience on the commercial, retail, industrial, education and residential sectors. I became a chartered engineer in 2014 with the Institution of Civil Engineers and an approved SER Certifier of Design (Building Structures) at the start of 2020.

In addition to civil and structural design, I have a keen interest in quality management systems and take on the role of QMS lead for the company.

In my spare time there is nothing I like better than enjoying a game of golf. My mathematical brain comes in handy for keeping score on the days that my game isn’t quite up to par.
