Hi I’m Phil, I started my career as a trainee technician in the Housing section of Hutter, Jennings & Titchmarsh, Following on from this I worked for 2 years in the Civils team, where I introduced CAD into the company, before moving back into the Housing team for the next 25 years. Here I gained vast experience in every size of project including:
- Bespoke single large houses
- Half a dozen bungalows for Housing Associations
- Larger 50-250 plot developments for major house builders
- Victoria Dock village in Hull with around 1100 dwellings / apartments on it, offices, new school, pub and remediation of old timber ponds and ground improvement
I’ve also worked on new build schools & hospital extensions, 100+ bed nursing / care homes, medical centres and university accommodation.
Furthermore, I’ve done refurbishment work on old buildings and mills, and recently worked on a glass production plant to install a new 200m long coating line adjacent to the existing production line in a 500m long, 125m wide shed, all while the production line remained live 24 Hours a day.
I’ve gained valuable site experience from walkovers at initial development stage, surveying, trial pitting, and site inspections, which all help when trying to make a project work, while making it as easy as possible to build, and at the right price.
I have a good and long standing relationship with several clients and contractors which I would like to build on, and hopefully reacquaint myself & Civic with a few old contacts as well, now that I’m part of a larger practice.
On a social side, I’m also a golfer, in the loosest sense of the word, given the way I’m playing at present. I won’t mention Football…
