Hi I’m the Business Administrator for the London Studio. Before Civic Engineers, I worked in retail buying for 3 years having studied Fashion at University, so the change has certainly had its differences! The team has been very welcoming and I’m looking forward to learning a lot more about the world of engineering.
Alongside working at Civic Engineers, I am studying Jewellery Making and Design, which has always been an interest of mine. The course is great fun and I’m enjoying using my creative side and turning ideas in to reality. Outside of work I enjoy watching live music and going to festivals, good food with friends, running, long walks and anything crafty. I grew up in France so I try to go home as much as I can to soak up the sun in the summer and the snowy mountains in the winter.
My item is my favourite piece of jewellery – a gold pendant which belonged to my grandmother. The pendant can be peeled open to transform the round ball in to a cross, which is engraved with tiny symbols. I love the transformation qualities of this pendant, the contrast in styles and the idea that it holds a secret inside. It has inspired me to explore the idea of transformation and movement within my own jewellery and I hope to someday create unique pieces which will be passed down from generation to generation.
