Our transport team specialise in traffic, movement and street design, With a keen interest in the public realm we have led the preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Design Codes for a wide range of projects.

What we’re looking for
We are looking for a Graduate Transport Engineer who shares our purpose and desire to help their community to join our Leeds team. Here, together facing the challenges of an uncertain climate, you can help equip the places and spaces we share, with the designs to survive and thrive. You will be involved in supporting and contributing to the delivery of a variety of strategic transport projects across the UK, as well as facilitating residential and commercial development and urban regeneration. You will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, key clients and collaborators.
The ideal candidate will be curious, collaborative, helpful, ingenious and passionate about engineering and the built environment and will develop with the following responsibilities:
- Assisting senior members of the team in preparing transport bids and tenders.
- Preparation of transport assessment reports, travel plans and other documents.
- Preparation of drawings and figures
- Traffic and data analysis using excel spreadsheets
- Coordination of surveys and data collection
- Traffic modelling to appraise transport impact of schemes
- Attending site and project team meetings with senior team members
About You
At the beginning of your engineering journey, you’ll be a creative thinker, passionate and enthusiastic to help grow and develop your career within our team. Your collaborative and helpful outlook will thrive within this innovative practice making a positive impact to the built environment.
You will be given responsibility and excellent all-round project experience during your time with us so that you can build the confidence and knowledge to become a truly excellent engineer. You will gain early exposure to the different aspects of transport engineering and will be fully supported and encouraged to reach chartership status.
You’ll have a degree in an analytical subject such as engineering, geography, mathematics, economics or similar and may also have a post graduate qualification in transportation, planning or a related subject, although not essential.
A team player, you’ll be friendly and enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude. Mathematically strong, you will also possess excellent report writing and interpersonal skills. We’ll also need you to have strong attention to detail, great analytical and problem solving skills and a broad range of IT skills including Indesign/Publisher.
