Pencils At The Ready – Sketchy City at Festival of Place!

Wednesday, 6th July sees Festival of Place being held at Boxpark, Wembley. The Festival, which we have supported for a number of years, brings together a community of professionals to learn, debate and share their creative visions for places worth living in, town and cities where people thrive. The sessions at the festival aim to break down silos to bring together private and public sector in a playful, relaxed atmosphere.

This year, members of the Civic Engineers team, with special guests from Impact on Urban Health will be running a fun, interactive workshop at 3.30pm to not only develop people’s sketching skills but most importantly to help solve urban health challenges such as obesity and air pollution. It doesn’t matter if you can sketch or not, it’s all about collaborating to solve specific design challenges. Everyone is welcome and given the quality of the sketches that were produced in a similar workshop last year, we can’t wait to see what creative, sustainable solutions are put forward!

Our session is just one amongst an incredible line up for the Festival. Make sure you’re there to join in the conversations, learn, network and enjoy yourself. Visit festivalofplace.co.uk to book your tickets.
