Key info

Daubeney Road, London

Daubeney Road is located Clapton, in the London Borough of Hackney. The site is a tapering piece of land which houses 25 disused garages and a small service yard. The site has been used for parking by a nearby school and for community planting.

The project is part of Hackney’s Housing Supply Programme to build circa 500 new homes on underused Council land. The proposal is to convert the unused garages into eleven two-storey terraced houses and provide a new link from Redwald Street through the site to Daubeney Road

In our role as Transport Consultants, we provided transport advice and produced a Transport Statement for the purposes of planning.

We also produced a Flood Risk Assessment and SuDS Drainage Strategy for planning. The site is located in proximity to the River Lee Navigation and was identified as being in Flood Risk Zone 2. The Flood Risk Assessment set out mitigation measures and recommended finished floor levels. SuDS measures included water butts, raingardens and attenuation tanks.
