Quizzing for charity in London

As if the epic Cycle to MIPIM wasn’t enough, many of this year’s peloton came back for a further challenge by entering the London quiz to raise further funds for the charities, Coram, Cyclists vs Cancer, Tom ap Rhys Price Memorial Trust & Multiple System Atrophy Trust, all supported by the ride. 15 teams, made up of over 30 different companies and of course a number of Civic Engineers entered our second ever quiz and given the tough questions set out by Laurie and Jess, it was never going to be a ‘ride’ in the park!

With prizes donated by Liam Gallagher, support from Jools Holland and a huge number of Easter Eggs at stake, it all got competitive quite quickly. Quiz master and ‘Ride Captain’, Gareth Atkinson, did a mighty fine job hosting and holding things together, despite there being no sparkly gold jacket this year and he was ably supported by James Bruce. With music from our very own and extremely talented Claire Young and an inspiring speech given by Jazmin from Coram, who explained more about the work of the charity, it was a fun, noisy and educational evening for everyone!

Huge congratulations to the winning team ‘Decisive’ (clearly they were with their answers!) and perhaps most importantly over £2200 was raised for the Club Peloton charities. Thanks to everyone who attended and a massive thank you to Ros, Laurie, George, Jess and other members of the Civic Engineers London studio team for organising a brilliant night.
