Chloe White

Structural Design Engineer

After graduating from the University of Glasgow in 2019 with an MEng degree in Civil Engineering with Architecture, I moved to London to begin my career in Structural Engineering. My first 3 years were spent at AKT II where I gained lots of experience working with both new and existing buildings. I have a particular interest in the carbon impact of our industry and enjoy working with materials like timber, as well as redesigning existing buildings for a new purpose. This led me to securing a job with Civic, where I can build on my knowledge while working for a practice who prioritises responsible approaches to designs and the impact they will have.

In my spare time, I enjoy both music and sports. I’ve been playing piano for over 18 years and find it’s the perfect way to relax. Sports-wise, you will find me doing fitness classes, yoga or cycling. I also love supporting the Scotland rugby team and find myself travelling back home to watch the Six Nations games at Murrayfield with family and friends. A Scotland v England game always provides good chat in the London office on a Monday morning!
