I joined Civic Engineers in December 2017 after working at both Elliott Wood and Alan Baxter’s, where I originally met several of the current Civic team.
I probably inherited my interest in engineering from my dad, who started out as a structural engineer. He got me playing with K’Nex and Lego from a young age, before getting me to assist with all his DIY around the house (free labour!).
I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2011 with an MEng in Civil Engineering, and became a Chartered member of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 2017.
One of my favourite aspects of being an engineer is going past completed projects, knowing what you’ve contributed to get it there.

Outside of work I enjoy all things sporty, and I’m currently a member of a running and cycling club, as well as playing cricket with a group of friends in the summer. I’ve done a few half marathons and a triathlon before, and now some of my friends are trying to persuade me into a half-ironman!
