Hi I’m Gillian and I joined Civic as Senior Bid Coordinator in July 2024. I love the energy and enthusiasm of my colleagues, but am so grateful for the patience of those in the Bid Team, who have welcomed me and put up with my constant questions.

Over the last 24 years, I’ve worked in various roles in Chartered Surveying practices, latterly being responsible for all aspects of bidding at a UK-wide practice. Now at Civic, I am building on the skills I had, becoming more aligned with the Civic values.

I have to admit to being just a bit obsessed with Take That. I have a Take That tattoo, constantly have their music playing, and go to see them live whenever I can. For instance, in 2024, I was lucky enough to see them in concert 7 times in Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and Middlesbrough. Although I didn’t make it to their European tour, I’m still hopeful for next time. I’ve met all the band individually over the years, having followed (some say “stalked”) them for 30 years. Long may my obsession continue.
