Izabela Zajac
Studio Manager Scotland
Hi! My name is Izabela. I come from a small town in Poland where together with my mother I owned successful businesses. However, since I remember, I wanted to go abroad to see new places, meet new people and experience new cultures. My challenging and amazing adventure in the UK started in 2004 in Dalmally in Scotland. In 2006 I moved to Glasgow. Most of my time was spent working and studied to achieve my goals.
I joined Civic Engineers at the end of 2017 as Finance and Administration Assistant in the Glasgow’s studio to start new career and new adventure in my life. I feel successful with my work. I am happy and proud to be part of the company and such a great team. In 2018 I started my AAT level 3 in accounting qualification to enhance my skills and help me with my day-to-day tasks.
I am also owner of two small businesses that involved my skills of managing and DIY. I have a big collection of tools that are necessary for this activity. I am planning to expand my business in the nearest future.
When it is possible, I like to travel (domestic and abroad) to see new places and learn new things. I always bring a nice fridge magnet for my collection and often have the chance to take pictures of animals – usually cats. My dream is to go on big cruise ship.
In my spare time, I like to watch documentaries about wildlife, TV programmes about decorating and renovating houses and about cars.
Many years ago, in a souvenir shop, I noticed an optical illusion type post card. It is good example to present how we are all different. It is showing how in different ways we interpret the same worlds, the same situations and our behaviour.
Have look on the picture below. What can you see? A weathered older woman or stunning young one? Can you find both woman?
