Hi, I’m Rebecca, a Senior Communications Executive here at Civic Engineers and based in their Manchester studio.

Graduating from the University of Salford with a degree in Journalism and English Literature, my career to-date has seen me primarily working across PR and Communications agencies. Having built some experience working across North-West brands, in 2011 I moved to the United Arab Emirates where I then lived for 9 years working in Dubai and supporting clients across the Middle East and North Africa region.

After an incredible eye-opening adventure, my family and I moved back to the UK, where since then I’ve been fortunate to be a part of the Civic Engineers team here in their Manchester HQ. A newbie to the sector, it’s been a great learning curve working with the team across our studios and supporting our communications efforts as we help spread the word about some of the great projects the team have helped to deliver for our communities and neighbourhoods. I’m lucky my work allows me to also spend some of my working day writing, a passion of mine since childhood.

Outside of work I’m kept busy with our two little ones, who are at an age of being bundles of relentless energy but bringing us equal amounts of joy. We spend our spare time finding pockets of time to relax (not always so easy!), exploring the beautiful city of Manchester right here on our doorstep, travelling when we can and generally just making an effort to slow down and enjoy the time with them whilst they are little.

A lifelong Manchester United fan, another great plus point of being back in Manchester is the opportunity to head to Old Trafford to watch a match!
