I’m a Civil Design Engineer with 7 years’ experience across a wide variety of sectors and engineering disciplines. Before joining the Civic Engineers London team, I previously worked for Civil Engineering consultancy based in Norwich, where I completed my engineering apprenticeship from HND to Masters.

During my apprenticeship I was exposed to all disciplines within the company including; civil engineering design, highways design, drainage design, structural engineering design and surveying.

Working with Civic Engineers has allowed me to explore how conscious Civil Engineering designs can benefit the wider community and environment as well as the client. It has been great to explore the forefront on sustainable drainage design with such passionate and inspiring colleagues.

Outside of work I enjoy playing and watching Rugby. Being of Welsh heritage it always leads to some lighthearted banter with colleagues when the 6-Nations and World Cup comes around.

In 2017 I had the honour of representing my region, the Midlands Tigers, at the Touch Rugby Nationals in Cambridge. I got to play against top level players, including invitational Welsh and French international teams. The Mixed Open team I was playing in were runners up in a highly contested 3-day tournament which was televised on BBC Red Button and live streamed on YouTube.

The picture below shows me in one of my less photogenic action shots, heavily strapped knee and all.
