Tom Robertson
Graduate Engineer
I graduated from the University of Bath with a MEng in Civil and Architectural engineering in 2020, having spent a year long placement working in transport infrastructure. I enjoyed the emphasis placed on collaborative design at Bath and how we were challenged to approach projects from a broad, balanced perspective. I feel that this approach aligns well with the design philosophies encouraged at Civic.
One of the highlights of my time at university was spending a semester on exchange at DTU, Copenhagen. I learnt about the Scandinavian approach to the built environment and took advantage of DTU’s eclectic range of modules. It was a pleasure to get to know such a wonderful city, I am sure I will be back very soon!
Since joining the Civic team I have already been exposed to a varied range of projects and am looking to what the future holds.
I enjoy travelling and spent my University summers saving up and going to some interesting places on a tight budget. I am a notoriously poor photographer but enjoy collecting photos of the places I have been and people I have met along the way. Below are some of my favourite photos that are currently hanging on my bedroom wall.
