Yousaf Hussain

Associate Director

I consider myself to be a proud mancunian having lived, studied, and worked in Manchester most of my life. I have 13 years’ experience as a structural engineer having previously also worked at other established engineering companies including BuroHappold and BDP. During that time, I have been fortunate to have worked with some of the most prominent developers and high-profile architectural practices in the UK.

I am a strong believer in collaborative working and have led the structural design across a broad range of projects and across different sectors. Demonstrating the ability to deliver multiple schemes incorporating new build and regeneration.

A couple of project highlights include the Enterprise South Liverpool Academy (ESLA) in Liverpool, and the multi-award winning Hanover House Refurbishment at one of the former cooperative buildings in Manchester.

Away from work I like to spend my time with my young family, and it is an important part of my life. You may on occasions also find me participating in some friendly 5-A-Side football.

I also provide input towards design critiques and tutorial support to architecture students at Manchester School of Architecture (MSA) at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU).
