UKGBC Membership & Race to Zero commitment for Earth Day

Climate sensitivity and its protection has been a founding feature of our Practice since its inception and it is embedded in our vision, our values and our designs. We have always pursued a sustainable design agenda and recognise that as engineers we have the opportunity to make a real and substantial impact on the carbon cost of the built environment through carefully considered design, well-informed decision-making and the pursuit of nature based solutions.

Over the past eighteen months, as a Practice we have made a commitment to play our part by supporting Structural Engineers Declare and Civil Engineers Declare. We also launched our own charter which sets out our principles and approach to the climate emergency in all we do.

To mark Earth Day, we are announcing our Membership of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC). UKGBC are a membership organisation who seem to improve the sustainability of the built environment transforming the way it is planned, designed, constructed maintained and operated. We’re looking forward to getting more involved in their work. Ahead of COP 26 in Glasgow in November, as a SME we have also made our commitment as part of United Nations’ Race to Zero, an initiative which supports SMEs taking climate action.
