Brathay Team Shot

Life at Civic

We work hard to ensure that our team enjoy their work and feel valued. We believe in giving individuals responsibility and allowing them the freedom to really do their job, grow in their role and constantly learn. No-one is out on their own though, help, support and professional development is available for everyone. We want our team to constantly develop new skills, gain professional qualifications and be the best they can be in their field.

We genuinely enjoy spending time together as a team both in and out of work. Our offices are friendly and there are plenty of opportunities to socialise. As part of the working day we have initiatives such as ‘lunch and learn’, where members of the team share their expertise in particular areas to the benefit of the whole team. Perhaps most importantly we truly value working as a team  and believe that as well as a lot of hard work, life at Civic Engineers should be fun too. We have a strong reputation for innovation and sustainability on a wide range of

significant, award-winning projects around the UK. We employ talented people and work with acclaimed clients and architects. We operate out of historic city centre design studios in Manchester, London, Glasgow and Leeds, places that reflect the ethos of our Practice.

Perhaps most importantly we truly value working as a team and believe that as well as a lot of hard work, life at Civic Engineers should be fun too.

Career Opportunities

Our process

We are always looking to recruit exceptional people who believe in being friendly and client-focused. We look for personal qualities such as creativity, approachability, enthusiasm and diligence and for team players who are willing to go the extra mile for our clients, collaborators and their colleagues!

We are an ‘Approved Employer’ for the ICE Training Scheme and offer structured and supportive training towards chartered engineer status with the ICE and / or IStructE for ambitious Civil / Structural Engineering graduates.

We always encourage direct applications for all our positions and rarely use recruitment agencies. CV’s sent through by agencies that we have not engaged with in advance of a position being advertised will not be considered via this route.

If you’d like to discuss any current or future job opportunities with us don’t hesitate to get in touch. Regardless of where you’re at in your career, we are always open to having a chat over a coffee. You can email your CV to us below. For details of our privacy policy click here
