As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn Apprentice BIM / CAD Structural Technician to join us and develop their skills within our friendly and collaborative team.

Key Elements of the Job

As an Apprentice BIM Structural Technician, you will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting the design and detailing of structural engineering projects. This role provides hands-on experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) 3D digital software, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop key technical and professional skills in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation of 3D models and drawings for structural projects using BIM software such as Revit.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to deliver accurate designs and exciting buildings
  • Support the development and maintenance of BIM standards and procedures.
  • Help to resolve technical design challenges with guidance from senior team members.
  • Participate in project meetings to understand client requirements and project deliverables.
  • Learn and adhere to company standards, quality control processes, and health & safety regulations.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and BIM technologies through training and continuous learning.

Skills / Competencies

  • A keen interest in structural engineering and construction.
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials, engineering principles, or CAD software (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards new challenges.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, Science, and IT (minimum Grade C) or relevant qualifications.
