We are looking for a talented and collaborative Senior Revit Technician who shares our purpose and desire to make a positive difference to the world around them. As a Senior Revit Technician, you will join our friendly Manchester Studio, bringing with you experience across a mix of sectors including residential, education, commercial, development and regeneration. Collaborative and helpful you will have the opportunity to work closely with high profile private and public-sector clients, influencing with your technical expertise and effective communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be hands on and have a real passion for creating Structural BIM models and have experience of working within a similar type of engineering consultancy that operates within the built environment.

Leadership is an evolving skill that you will develop alongside your people management, business development and commercial abilities. Your people and solutions focus, communication and contractual awareness will be demonstrable through past projects. Guiding, developing, and supporting a team of value driven engineers, your skills in project resource planning and deadline management will be fully engaged and developed.

We are looking for a progressive and talented technician who is keen to influence the people around them with the same understanding and empathy that they bring to their engineering. We hope you will share our strong interest in architecture and the wider public realm/built environment and play a key role in our ongoing practice and growth strategy.

 

Key Elements of the Job:

  • Minimum 6 years design office experience
  • HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
  • Experience of working closely with structural engineers, you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of structural detailing and development of the structural design
  • Experience of producing digital structural models and 2D layouts and details using Revit
  • Experience of using AutoCAD and Navisworks with knowledge of RC detailing desirable, but not essential
  • Experience in coordinating models and drawings with other design disciplines
  • Producing Structural engineering BIM models, general arrangements and details using Revit
  • Preparing and self-checking drawings. Taking responsibility for your work
  • Liaising and reviewing production of information within a team of BIM Technicians and Engineers on a project-by project basis
  • Coordination with the appointed Architect and other design team members
  • Document transmittal to external parties
  • Occasional visits to construction sites for survey/ inspection of works under the direction of a senior engineer / associate
  • Compliance with the duties of Designer under the CDM Regulations 2015
