Celebrating our support of MIF 21

We’re not quite sure where time went this year but Manchester International Festival 21 seems to have flown by! Since its inception we have been proud supporters of the Festival, not just from a sponsorship perspective but we love lending our engineering skills where we can. From helping artists achieve their vision through installations and exhibitions to ensuring the unusual venues, such as Mayfield Depot are fit for purpose, we have worked across a number of the high profile events that MIF has become famous for.

Given the pandemic, MIF 21 was always going to be a little bit different to a normal year but as ever the Festival embraced the challenge and presented the city with a packed programme.

To celebrate our support, we decided to bring together a small group of clients, collaborators and friends and host drinks in Festival Square and dinner in Urbis, home of the National Football Museum. It seemed a very appropriate home for us for the night given we were on the design team for Urbis, alongside architects Simpson Haugh, a number of years ago. We were delighted to be joined by a guest speaker for the evening, Peter Murray OBE, Curator-in-Chief of New London Architecture. The event was a welcome opportunity to reconnect with many people we hadn’t seen in person for such a long time and to raise a glass to the Festival! Here’s to MIF 23!
