Civic Earth Welcomes New Team Members

Our sister company Civic Earth, the new ground engineering consultancy which is part of Civic+, has welcomed two new team members.  Kirsty Poore joins as Associate Director and Hal Godwin as Chartered Senior Engineer. The pair will join Director Dan Matthews in helping shape the growth of Civic Earth in the coming months, and managing the new company’s fast-growing portfolio of projects – including the Mayfield development in Manchester, the home of the city’s first new park in 100 years.

Kirsty Poore brings more than 10 years of experience in the geotechnical and geoenvironmental sectors as a Chartered Geologist and Registered Ground Engineering Professional. At Civic Earth, Kirsty will be applying her extensive expertise in the planning, supervision and interpretation of highly complex ground investigation works, continuing her expertise in supporting developers, design teams and regulators through all project stages including pre-planning, detailed design, construction and verification.

Hal Godwin joins as a Chartered Senior Engineer, bringing over 7 years of experience of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering across the South of England. His wide knowledge of complex problem solving on ground investigation, associated geotechnical design and reporting, and detailed experience of integrating and managing leading software packages will enhance Civic Earth’s ability to provide sophisticated geotechnical solutions to its growing client base.

Dan Matthews, Civic Earth Director, said: “Civic Earth is growing quickly establishing a portfolio of projects across the UK. Bringing in known, experienced team members in this area will help us deliver high quality ground engineering work. We’re all excited to grow the business together in the coming months.”

Kirsty Poore said: “It’s exciting to join a company whose values are closely aligned with my own, bringing my technical as well as commercial and managerial skills and experience into the Civic Earth team. I’m thrilled to be a part of the Civic+ family and look forward to Civic Earth’s bright future.”
