Collaborating to raise funds for Contact Theatre

Manchester Director, James Bruce and Structural Design Engineer, David Shodeke will, next Friday, 16th August, be tackling the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise funds for one of our projects, the iconic Contact Theatre in Manchester.

Being true to our value of being ‘collaborative’, David and James, who are the structural engineers on the project, will be joining other members of the project team including architects Sheppard Robson, Mace Group, Parkinson’s and some of the team from the theatre itself, for the 1 day, 24 mile challenge.

The Contact Theatre is undergoing an extensive capital build which will see it remodelled to create a modern performance venue providing better facilities for the community, in particular, for the young people the theatre makes a huge difference too. The team are tackling this gruelling challenge hoping to raise further funds to enable the building to be finished, with the Mace Foundation kindly committing to match fund anything raised by up to £5,000.

Any sponsorship to encourage David and James to get up the three peaks as quickly as possible would be hugely appreciated. You can donate by visiting https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/civic3peaks
