Glasgow studio raises a toast to a decade of Civic Engineers

Our colleagues, clients and collaborators came together yesterday to mark the tenth anniversary of Civic Engineers, with a dazzling evening celebration in Glasgow where we have a studio.

From our Glasgow studio, we’re proud to have built a legacy for delivering critically-acclaimed spaces, structures and placemaking projects that have a positive impact on the environment and people’s lives, across Scotland and the wider UK.

As just one example, we have been appointed to deliver the transformative ‘Avenues’ project, which is set to dramatically improve the quality of Glasgow city centre environment in the future.

Isla Jackson, director at Civic Engineers, shared her thoughts on the milestone: “Our successes are a testament to our exceptional team, who are endlessly talented, collaborative and passionate about making a difference.

“Our industry is all about people, and always will be. We’re committed to creating and revitalising spaces, structures and neighbourhoods so communities can thrive, and our Glasgow studio continues to go from strength-to-strength.”

The event took place on the eve of The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland’s RIAS Live event which we are proudly supporting, with Isla Jackson set to chair a session focussed on leadership and resilience. As the single largest gathering for architects in Scotland, the event will bring people together to discuss skills in the industry, and Scotland’s future as a green, resilient and healthy nation.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us at our Glasgow celebration to mark a decade of Civic Engineers. Take a look at photos from the night here.

Here’s to many more decades of unlocking the power of place and community from our Glasgow studio. As our CEO Stephen O’Malley said, “We’re only just getting started.”
