Manchester Studio Celebrates 10 Years of Civic Engineers

It was time for our Manchester studio to celebrate our tenth anniversary last week with a birthday bash in the heart of Manchester’s International Festival.

Proud supporters of the festival throughout our ten years, as both a corporate supporter and providing structural engineering expertise, it seemed only fitting to welcome our clients, collaborators and team to join us in Manchester’s Festival Square for an evening of reflection and celebration.

With the rain holding off for us and even the sunshine making an appearance, it was time to get in the party spirit as over one hundred guests joined us in the festival dome. The dome, a colourful new space next to the festival’s Aviva studios and overlooking the River Irwell, was the perfect location for us to all recognise a proud milestone for Civic Engineers and also re-connect with so many people who have supported us along the way.

Our Co-Founding Directors, Stephen O’Malley and Julian Broster kicked-off the evening speeches, sharing some of our highlights and proudest moments over the last decade, followed by Place North West Editor, Julia Hatmaker, sharing a few words. Raising a glass to all we’ve achieved together, it was a fantastic evening celebrating together, right here in the city where the business was founded  ten years ago. Looking ahead to what the the next decade of Civic Engineers will bring, as shared in the evening’s speeches…we’re just getting started!

Once again a big thank you to everyone who joined us and as always, we managed to capture some lovely images from the evening, so if you’d like to take a look you can view the album here.

If you spot yourself and would like copies of any of the images, please reach out and let us know.
