I have over a decade of experience working on active travel, sustainable transport and public realm projects across Ireland, Scotland and New Zealand.
My background in planning and urban design provides me with a holistic perspective on reimagining and designing resilient places that prioritise people. I believe that actively involving the community in a meaningful way throughout a project is the key ingredient of designing successful places.
With experience in the public, private and third sectors, I have a deep understanding of the complexities involved in designing safe, healthy and vibrant places. I have led a variety of multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects and have developed project management skills with the understanding that communication is key.
Working alongside passionate and enthusiastic people is great way to make things happen.
When I get a chance, I like taking the kayak out for a few hours. The image below was taken on Lough Derravaragh and for anyone familiar with Irish mythology, this is where the Children of Lir were turned into swans.
