Nikki Devon Brannan Johnston

Principal Engineer

I’m a Civil Engineering Professional with 14+ years of experience in the civil engineering industry. I have a deep understanding of project lifecycles, from early-stage feasibility studies to final site completion and am skilled in diverse engineering specialties, including transportation engineering, flood risk assessment, highway design, drainage systems, and geotechnical engineering. My experience lies in managing and delivering a wide range of civil engineering projects, from small-scale domestic developments to large-scale, multi-million-pound PBSA schemes. Over my career, I’ve developed a strong passion for collaborative project management, fostering efficient teamwork and effective communication.

In addition to my core civil engineering expertise, I am a seasoned Bridge Inspector with over 400 inspections completed. My experience encompasses a broad spectrum of bridge structures, ranging from small-diameter culverts to complex, multi-span masonry arch bridges.

The attached photograph is a snapshot of a primary school workshop I led as a representative of Women in Property, an organization of which I was honoured to be a committee member. This experience holds significant personal value for two reasons:

  1. Promoting Diversity: I am deeply committed to supporting organizations like Women in Property that strive to increase diversity within the construction industry.
  2. Inspiring Future Generations: Encouraging young, impressionable minds to consider career paths they may not have previously envisioned, especially in STEM fields, is a source of immense joy.
