Suzanne Mack

Senior Bid Manager

Hi I’m Suzanne and I joined Civic Engineers in February 2020 as a Bid Proposal Manager based in the Glasgow Studio but supporting all studios with their work winning efforts.

I have an Honours degree in Film and Media Studies combined with Politics (odd combination I know) and started my career in the construction industry in 2012, working first for a Civil and Structural Engineering practice and then for a professional services organisation.  My most recent role was in a bid support function at a Tier One Contractor.  Throughout the 8 years I have been in the industry I have developed my skills in all facets of bidding, from working on large framework tenders right down to small fee proposals, as well as developing my marketing and graphic design skills.

I am always keen to undertake professional development and in July 2016 embarked on getting my CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing, finally completing this in December 2017 whilst 8 months pregnant with my daughter.

When I’m not at work I can usually be found running around after my young daughter, who is now a curious toddler with endless energy (I struggle to keep up).  I also love to bake and listen to music, mostly Country music.  Before motherhood my perfect night in would be baking with a glass of wine in my hand and my country music blaring (less time for that now).  I also love to travel and enjoy a good city break.

What people might not know about me is that I’m a massive motorsport fan and have been following Formula One since I was six years old.  Whilst on a gap year in Toronto in 2010 I actually got to attend my first Grand Prix weekend in Montreal, which was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.  Below is one of the 300+ photos I took during the weekend.
