The Equitable City – Festival of Place Returns

Festival of Place is back two weeks today and we’re already counting down the days until the festival that shines the brightest, has the freshest thinking and asks the difficult questions, welcomes us all back.

Rising inequality continues across cities worldwide, with vast spatial, social and economic inequalities existing across our cities right here in the UK. As efforts to address such inequalities continue, we’re asking ourselves the question, ‘If we got the chance to build anew, how would we build an ethical city?’

Once again taking place at Wembley’s amazing BoxPark venue, London’s biggest food, culture and social hub, the 20,000 square foot space will welcome hundreds of guests for this year’s festival, with a packed agenda of sessions aiming to break down silos and bring together a creative community of place makers in a playful, relaxed atmosphere.

Members of our team will be hosting our ‘The Equitable City’ interactive session, exploring ways to create an ethical business practice followed by a creative drawing workshop to come up with a design for their environment that encompasses as many conscious and ethical considerations as possible.

For more details on our session, running from 2.00pm in the ‘Workshops at Bad Axe’ room, and other workshops, you can view the full agenda following the below link, which also includes details for purchasing tickets to the in-person and online festival.
