Thriving places, fresh voices and ideas on tap – Festival of Place is back
On 4th July, the unmissable Festival of Place returns to Boxpark Wembley to bring together changemakers and do-ers who want to transform places and spaces.
We’re longstanding supporters of the Festival, which aims to create a better, more sustainable and equitable future for everyone.
This year’s jam-packed programme of inspiring content, workshops and walking tours will explore topics such as gender inclusive places; greening cities to combat climate change; trauma-informed design; healthy places and the positive impact of targeted retrofit.
So what are we most looking forward to?
- Amazing facilitators and groundbreaking insights – sessions include a deep dive into the winners of The Pineapple awards which our director Leah Stuart will chair
- Three, two, one – retrofit! – this year, directors Gareth Atkinson and Leah Stuart will be hosting an exciting and interactive workshop exploring retrofit and how it can create sustainable urban landscapes for the future while preserving heritage and character
- A space to connect with purpose-driven industry leaders – the festival is designed to be collaborative and create conversation, so it’s a brilliant way to build your network with industry leaders, academics, developers, designers, community engagers and policymakers
