Tout le Monde – the countdown to Cycle to MIPIM 2024 is on!
In March, Andrew Ruck, director in our London studio, will join a cavalcade of more than 70 cyclists from the industry on the Club Peloton Knight Frank charity cycle to MIPIM.
Covering more than 1400km, the challenging ride starts in London on 6th March and finishes in Cannes for MIPIM a week later, taking in the Garden of England, northern France, Champagne and Burgundy along the way. It will see riders in the saddle for up to 12 hours a day, in all weathers, supported by a crew of mechanics and sports therapists.
The relay raises funds for Club Peloton’s charity projects that are transforming young lives, such as Coram Adoption, Cyclists Fighting Cancer and Tom ap Rhys Pryce Memorial Trust, and it’s the fifth Cycle to MIPIM our team has supported.
A huge thank you to our corporate sponsors Bluebeam, Plan A, Darktrace, REDD and Squire and Partners for their support. To support Andrew and help us hit his fundraising target of £3k, please visit his JustGiving page.
Speaking about the cycle, Andrew said, “Not only is Cycle to MIPIM a brilliant opportunity to meet and collaborate with industry peers, it also raises funds for incredible causes that are making a real difference to people’s lives. More than anything, I look forward to us all celebrating the journey together, it will be such a collective achievement.
“It’s my second attempt at the ride, after a winter cycle training accident resulted in a broken pelvis ahead of last year’s event. Having got back on two wheels last year, my training is well underway. I’m now aiming to cycle 200km each week by commuting to our London studio and through long weekend cycles that have taken me to Kent, East Sussex and Surrey so far. I’m a real Francophile, having studied at Grenoble INP in the Alps, so it will be great to get closer to familiar territory in the latter stages of the ride.
“Thank you to all our donors and corporate sponsors for their support so far, we really appreciate your generosity for such a great cause.”
A Civic Engineers team, including our CEO Stephen O’Malley and director of communications and culture Katrina Davis, will join Andrew in attending MIPIM and sharing insights on how we can create an urban and natural environment that is fit for the future. Find out more here.
