Cannon Green has been awarded the City of London Best Refurbishment Building of the Year by the Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects.

Civic Engineers worked with JRA and Ocubis to transform the two 1960’s office towers into a new workplace concept with a contemporary double-height podium housing, a grand insitu concrete staircase, original artwork, and a number of amenities including a restaurant, café and business lounges.

As well as transforming the three storeys of basement for a Gym Box and bike club for 200 bikes additional storeys were added to both towers to increase the overall office space to 7,500m2 and create two new roof terraces.

The award is given to projects judged to have made a contribution to the civic life of the City of London by responding to its context, delivering innovative and exemplary design, and having high environmental standards.
