As the NCE Awards opens for next year’s entries, we’re reflecting back on this year’s big win at the 2023 awards evening, where we were named winner in the ‘Best Place to Work – SME’ category.

Beating off stiff competition, our team were thrilled to take home the accolade at the New Civil Engineer’s annual awards. Celebrating the achievements of Civil Engineering consultancies across the UK, recognising businesses bringing real change to the sector and making our industry a better place to work, we were also shortlisted in the ‘SME Consulting Firm of the Year’ category.

With the ‘Best Place to Work’ category recognising companies within the construction and civil engineering industry committed to prioritising employee wellbeing through creating a strong workplace culture and people-first initiatives, the judges highlighted many aspects of our ‘Thriving Together’ approach as going beyond industry best practice. With emphasis placed on our commitment to inclusivity and diversity, the judges also commended our approach to increasing  neurodiversity awareness and menopause understanding, along with our ‘Better Normal’ flexible working model.
