We’re extremely proud that The Malings, a project we worked on as Structural Engineers with Carillion Igloo and Ask Sakula Architects, has won a prestigious RIBA North East Award. This is just one of a number of accolades that The Malings has received. The development saw 76 new homes built facing out onto a new public realm on a former contaminated industrial site. The RIBA website gave an overview of why The Malings won, it said: “Residents have clearly become part of a bespoke place with a strong identity, their community successfully adding life and vibrancy to Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley.”
