Mayfield Park Video Tour – Resilient Landscapes – Festival of Place

Throwback to the beginning of last week and it was Festival of Place focusing on all things climate resilience. With a packed agenda covering resilient landscapes, ESG, retrofit and biodiversity, there was lots to be inspired by and learn.

We were proud to be part of the first day of the festival which focused on resilient landscapes and resilience found in public space that is designed to bring us together. To highlight this topic, our Chief Executive, Stephen O’Malley took the attendees on a tour of the 6.5acre Mayfield Park in Manchester city centre with Duncan Paybody, Director from Studio Egret West. With both organisations being instrumental in the design and delivery of the park, the tour took in all aspects of this incredible new green space. It included a focus on how the river was brought back to life, the importance of nature based solutions in the landscape and how reuse of materials was a key part of the project.
