Civic Engineers are part of the team led by Gort Scott that have been appointed by Ealing Council to design the Merrick Road Footbridge Approaches in Southall.

The Council have allocated around £4.5m to deliver a new pedestrian and cycle bridge at Merrick Road which will replace an existing footbridge which is presently out of commission.

The immediate environment of where the new bridge is planned is widely recognised as being of poor quality and lacking in a cohesive structure and function. Wayfinding, crossing and urban realm are poor. Civic will be looking to improve these areas by developing a design that is well-integrated into the planned improvements and forthcoming development and enhances the pedestrian and cycle experience.
