MIPIM stand session – speakers announced!

With MIPIM less than a fortnight away, we’re pleased to announce the lineup for our speaker session taking place on Wednesday, 13th March at 2.15pm at the conference’s Manchester Stand.

The theme of the session is ‘Greener Manchester – as the city becomes a pioneer for urban greening, what value stands to be unlocked?’

We’ll be joined by a stellar lineup of speakers, including: Kat Hanna, co-managing director, London, at Avison Young; Muyiwa Oki, president at RIBA, Caroline Simpson, chief executive at Stockport Council and David West, lead designer at Mayfield, with the panel chaired by Stephen O’Malley, our chief executive.

From Mayfield Park to Ancoats Green, ground-breaking blue-green workspace roofs and Europe’s largest living wall, incredible new green spaces are emerging across Manchester. The session will explore how we can build on the transformative work that has already been done and be more ambitious in the delivery of green infrastructure? What cost-benefits will green infrastructure bring to the city, and how can we capture the boost to the regional economy?

The event will take place in person and will also be livestreamed for those who can’t make it, so please come and join the conversation.

Katrina Davis, our director of communications and culture and Andrew Ruck, director in our London studio will join Stephen at MIPIM, with Andrew arriving on two wheels as part of Club Peloton’s Knight Frank Cycle to MIPIM event setting off next week.

Our team are keen to meet about our other studios and work in other cities. So, if you’re attending MIPIM and would like to arrange a catch up or would like to hear more about our stand session, please get in touch with Katrina Davis at katrina@civicengineers.com.
