Multiple projects make the New London Architecture Awards 2019 shortlist!

Two of our projects have made the New London Awards shortlist for 2019. The Printworks, a unique multi-purpose venue has been shortlisted in the ‘meanwhile’ category and Cannon Green has been shortlisted in the ‘mixed use’ category. The awards recognise the very best in architecture, planning and development in the capital across all sectors, that contribute to making London a better place to live, work, move around and socialise.

The London Printworks is a unique multi-purpose venue within a vast former newspaper printing facility in the Canada Water masterplan area being developed by British Land. We were structural engineers on this project for our client Broadwick Live. The building has been transformed into six huge event spaces, spread over 120,000sq feet and containing the original industrial features as a backdrop.

Cannon Green, which is shortlisted in the ‘mixed use’ category, is an office development built in the 1960s in the heart of the City of London. The buildings underwent a complete overhaul to upgrade the space to modern standards. We were appointed by Ocubis as Structural Engineers on the project.

Fingers crossed for the awards ceremony which takes place at The Guildhall in London on Wednesday 3rd July. You can see the full shortlist at https://www.newlondonarchitecture.org/matrix_engine/bit.ly/NLAwards18Shortlist
