‘Social Impact’ award win for The Goods Yard, Stoke
Goods Yard Stoke has been named ‘Social Impact’ champion at the Midlands Residential Property Awards 2024.
With winners selected by a panel of industry experts, the award commends the scheme that has ‘exceeded the norm’ and had a significant positive impact on the local community.
“The Goods Yard ticks all the boxes when it comes to wider positive impacts” commented the judges.
The exciting regeneration scheme, based in Stoke-on-Trent, is transforming an industrial area of the city into a multi-million-pound canalside urban hub.
We’re civil, structural and transport engineers on the project, collaborating with members of the design team to transform the area of the land currently used as a storage warehouse, once a historical goods yard for freight via the railway, into a thriving urban quarter that will bring people together and boost the local economy.
The judges commended the project for “delivering the regeneration goods, including job creation, new social assets, public-private partnership and promoting further investments in the local area.”
Insider’s Midlands Residential Property Awards credit the teams and individuals who have excelled in the region over the past year and we are honoured to be recognised for our project’s social impact. Congratulations to Capital & Centric and everyone else involved on the design team. Find out more about the project here.
