Stephen O’Malley
CEO and Founding Director
I have a passion and a belief in the critical importance of place, working with the prevailing geography and showcasing the character of the existing landscape. I have developed a particular expertise in the planning, design and delivery of major public realm projects and urban infrastructure associated with the regeneration of villages, towns and city centres across the UK.
The skills I have developed to engineer these types of healthy, active and attractive urban neighbourhoods are broad – civil, transport, highways, flood risk, drainage, utilities, structures, ground remediation engineering – to name some. My fusion of these engineering skills, applying a holistic and creating a broad and more creative approach, is what I promote to the Practice’s definition and successful delivery of Civic Engineering, which is why I am recognised as an industry expert in my field. I am very fortunate to have a yearning for cities.
“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the people to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea”Antoine De Saint-Exupery, Author of The Little Prince
