‘Underline’ – Glasgow ‘Avenues’ Nightwalk

The end of last week saw a Night Walk take place along one of the streets that will be transformed as part of the contract we are delivering for Glasgow City Council’s ‘Avenues’ project. Led by Dan Dubowitz from Civic Works and Nick Dunn, the ‘Underline’ walk took people through the under-belly of Glasgow’s M8 – starting outside Anderston Quay station, walking via Garnet Hill and finishing at the front of Stow College.

Over 50 people joined the walk to discover more about the area’s heritage and uncover parts of the city they never knew existed. Along the way with the help of tango dancers, local skateboarders and historians, ideas for how the spaces could be used were explored.

On the walk we were joined by some local journalists and STV2’s Daily Show broadcast live from start of the walk. Here’s some of the coverage and the pictures from the evening which include the STV2 coverage and Ian Marland’s piece for The Scottish Times.
